Verified ReviewerTrying to find old "chanting" CD
- - Member of One Spirit Book Club in late 1990s to mid-2000s.
- - Chanting CD with a bonus; plain white sleeve; not related to the book; lost in a robbery.
I belonged to the One Spirit Book Club for a number of years in the late 1990s to mid-2000s. I bought a book called 'Chanting,' which at the time came with a CD of women vocalists singing chanting-like songs.
One was a hallelujah song. The CD wasn't related to the book; it just came with it at the time as a bonus. The CD was just in a plain whitish sleeve, I believe. I loved that CD, and when my house was robbed, that CD was in my 'boom box.' I lost everything from jewelry (some inherited) to TVs and appliances; I had over a hundred other CDs, etc.
But the thing I've missed most was that special CD!
I've tried over the years to track it down with no luck. Would anyone know where I could find that recording?
- I always enjoyed it until it changed
- Could not find a way to contact them for a long time
Preferred solution: Just trying to find an old CD i git with the purchase of a book years ago that got stolen from me.

Verified ReviewerMy deceased husband’s book club
- - Widow found large monthly checks to a single spirit after her husband's 2019 death.
- - She suspects payments funded fake life-advice sites.
My husband for years was writing big checks to one spirit. I found out after he died 11/2019 going through old check books.
He paid monthly Large amounts of money we couldnt afford to one spirit. I never saw what was paid for but now a widow on SS lm furious of the waste of money that was shelled out for probably BS. My husband was looking for something but never quite found as he kept ordering. Im so tired of fake sites offering life advice for a big fee pretending to be enlightened resources.
I should be compensated but Im sure will never happen. Robin Seefahrt

WTF!!!!!!!!!
Cancel My Membership
- - I declined this month's selections and got SOBSL633**** confirmation for an order I didn't place.
- - Cancel my membership #05809**** immediately.
I went on line & declined this months selections & shut my iPad down. Next thing I know I get a confirmation #SOBSL633**** for an order I did not make!
I called your customer service # & Spoke with a guy named John who wouldn't listen to what I had to say. He kept telling me I placed the order when I know I didn't & I asked him to cancel that order for I didn't want any books ordered this month. I got upset & yelled at him to cancel my membership, I don't like to argue with a Customer Rep about something I haven't done & won't listen to me. I'm usually a very calm person but this conversation was the last straw, enough is enough!
I've been with One Spirit a very long time now but I now wish to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP # 05809**** effective IMMEDIATELY ! I
They keep sending me things I didn't order, won't cancel membership.
- - One Spirit member; disliked the new model and didn't want to continue.
- - January cancellation promised; charges persisted, refunds issued; Apr 26 $49.
Similar experience to others, member in One Spirit Book Club for many years and they changed their model so I didn't want to continue with membership. In January, I called and was able to speak to a customer service rep.
who told me my membership was cancelled. 1 1/2 months later my debit card was billed for a shipment. I again contacted the company and said cancel my membership (they did refund the amount billed) and told me my membership would be cancelled.
Today (April 26) I received an e-mail telling me my selection was being shipped and I checked and my debit card was charged $49. I don't know how to cancel my membership at this point but just filed a complaint with my states Attorney General.

Short Review on December&nbs-05:00;05,&nbs-05:00;2016
- - Received an email about an alleged account.
- - I have no account with them.
- - My reply was undeliverable to that address.
I just got an email regarding my alleged account. I have no account with them.
Did not order anything. When i tred to respond, received a message back saying the message was undeliverable to that address.
Dishonest, unethical
- - Longtime member says 30% off for 3 books; third book unavailable; packages arrived with cut return labels and no return address; canceling membership.
You can be a member for 20 years like I have, and they just care nothing about you. First they offered 30% off if you ordered three books.
AFTER I made the order, they emailed me that the third, qualifying book was no longer available. (So why was it on the web site?) So I emailed customer service, a joke of a department name, and told them that I wanted to cancel the order. This was just a couple of hours after I made the order. They answered that it had already shipped, which I really don't believe.
I responded that I did not believe this scenario, and I would refuse the shipment if it arrived at my door. Fine, they said. So then it came yesterday, in two packages. Imagine my surprise- both labels were cut so that the return address was incomplete.
I actually took one box to the post office and asked if this address could be identified, and they said no. So I went to One Spirit's web site looking for an address for returns. Guess what? There is nowhere on the web site where you can find it.
They have pulled stuff like this on me before, and I am cancelling my membership.
Don't even think you will get good deals or breaks on books from them. They are just out to screw every customer they can.
Collection
- - Call from a collection agency about the company claiming books were shipped.
- - I believe this is a scam and question company's merchant services.
I just got a call from a collection company about this company, they claim books have been shipped to my address, what a *** scam....This is what you get with religious ***. I am an atheist. How does a company like this exits. Who the *** is clearing merchant services for this company.
*** stupid idiots, suck my dick, you scamming spirits.
No doubt, this company pays internet thieves to capture new accounts and when the payments are made and jig is up, they send the bogus accounts to collection, welcome to the vitamin business model.

Verified ReviewerCharge Review
- - Described as a scam and charges you without notice; a debt collector contacts you to reveal charges.
- - Don't trust online book clubs; use Amazon.
This is a scam!! They will charge you without any notice or contact.
The only way you will know that you have been charged is when the debt collector contacts you.
Don't trust online book clubs. Your better off going to Amazon, a local store or local library.
One Spirit Book Club is a scam!!
- - Phone lines are useless; it's long distance.
- - Waiting for a reply racks up long distance fees.
- - You must return the form by a date or you keep the books.
The phone lines are completely useless and are long distance. If you wait for someone to answer (and nobody ever does) you rack up long distance fees or use minutes on your cell.
You have to return the order form by a certain date and if you don't, you get the books anyway. Last month, I got their packet on the 18th, and it was due back on the 20th! Then I get the *** book that I didn't want and the following week got another copy of it! Of course they want their money, and supposedly you can't return it.
I've been trying to cancel my membership all week, but noone gets back to me via email and you can't get anyone on the phone. What a joke!!
Surely they have to be doing this illegally. They are THE WORST!!!!
- Complete lack of customer service
- Their lack of business ethics
- Their scam
Positive Experience Review
- - I’ve had a good experience.
- - They can stop auto shipments if you ask.
- - I use their Book of Days, love the quotes, and keep the books as a yearly record.
I have had a good experience with them. If you ask, they will take you off the list to get automatic shipments.
Then, just order when you wish.
My life is organized through using their Book of Days. I love the quotes in them, and have kept them all to have a record of each year.
Books Charge Review
- - Charged me for books I didn't want.
- - They keep emailing a mailing label I can't print and want it mailed.
They did the same to me, charged me for books I didn't want, then when requesting a mailing label they sent it to my email in witch I don't have a printer, 3 months later I'm going round and round telling them I need it mailed to me and they keep sending it to my email.
Credit Card Charge Review
Sent me book of the month even though I declined them. Charged my credit card over$50.
Was told u may have to pay for shipping and processing and it takes 4-6 week to credit it back but it took them 5 seconds to take it out !!!
Do not join, I have one more book and I am do !!!! Scam!!!!
